Well Hello There!

Not having a computer at home means less chance of posting a blog. That is why it has been since May 2nd! 

But here I am now, and have a load to tell you all! 

First off, I have started to make the steps I need that is requested from my health insurance company and from the surgeon. 

The first appointment was with a nutritionist. Took the trip to Seattle, and I am glad I did. I have been to nutritionist/dietitians in the past, and they have all told me the same thing in the past, which is lose weight. Like I didn't already know that! 

So in Seattle I met Beve Kindblade. She is AWESOME! She was aware that I was visiting her because it is one of the requirements from the surgeon, and she kept referring to the weight loss surgery as, the diet, and I liked that. She went over my eating habits now, and what changes I am willing to make, and since she works so closely with most of my surgeons patients, she went over what the surgeon will expect of me. She then wrote out the changes she wants to be make before our next appointment.

The next appointment I had was with a psychologist. I met with Dr. Thomas C. Petek, PHD, in Federal Way. Here I had to take the LONGEST personality test, plus an in person interview. It wasn't your normal visit to a shrink, which I have had in the past and dreaded it. The results will be sent to the surgeon, and I hope we get to go over them.

Then just yesterday I actually met with the surgeon. His name is
Dr. Srikanth(shhree-can) of Center for Weight Loss Surgery. I spent almost three hours at his office. Just going over paper work that has already been filled out, and that had been filled out that day. Had a short physical exam. I learned a lot from this appointment and I am looking at things a bit differently now. Here is a link to Dr. Srikanths information:
